Japan target 10th place in Sochi Game 2014

The Japanese Olympic Committee has planned a long-term "Gold Plan" for the Winter Olympics and set a target of 10th in the overall medal standings at the 2014 Sochi Games. Japan got five medals at the Vancouver Games in February and placed 15th in the overall medal standing. That's mean they need between nine and eleven medals to place in the top 10 in Sochi. According to the sources, the long-term plan is to get eighth at the 2018 Game. They have to get 16 to 20 medals to achieve a goal of placing fifth at the 2022 Olympics.
In my opinion, they can succeed their goal because Japanese people have a lot of attempt. Moreover, they placed 15th at the Vancouver Games, so I think 10th is not too hard for them.
